Turnidge of London Mid-Century Teak Bureau Bookcase | c.1960s
A beautifully designed and increasingly sought-after mid-century teak bureau by Turnidge of London, dating from the 1960s. Combining elegant Scandinavian-inspired styling with exceptional practicality, this piece features a spacious open display shelf, a drop-front writing desk with a fitted interior, and three generous drawers, all raised on classic tapered teak legs.
The bureau opens to reveal a thoughtfully designed workspace with pigeonholes and shelving, making it ideal as a home office, laptop station or stylish storage solution. Rich teak grain, clean lines and understated recessed handles are characteristic of Turnidge's quality craftsmanship.
The piece has been professionally restored and finished to a high standard, retaining a beautiful warm teak patina. There is one small repair to the left-hand side, which can be seen in the photographs. It is cosmetic only and does not detract from the overall appearance or functionality of this stunning piece.
A rare and versatile example of British mid-century design that works equally well in a living room, study or bedroom.

We love our new bureau. Emily was so helpful, sending us lots of photos before purchase and she kept us up to date with delivery. It was a seamless service. Highly recommended, will definitely use again. Thanks Emily.
Emily is one of the nicest most accommodating people I have ever dealt with. Emily sourced a perfect G Plan sideboard for us which we struggled to find elsewhere. The care and attention to detail is also very evident.
Absolutely delighted with my purchase. Emily was great to deal with and the whole process was very smooth. Can't recommend highly enough.
