Scandinavian-Style Teak Bureau / Secrétaire – 1960s
A beautiful mid-century teak bureau dating from the 1960s, with a wonderfully simple Scandinavian-inspired design.
The fall-front opens to create a generous writing or working surface, with a useful fitted interior comprising a selection of pigeonholes and shelving for stationery, paperwork and smaller items. Below are three spacious full-width drawers offering excellent additional storage.
Its compact proportions make this a particularly practical piece, providing a proper workspace without taking up too much floor space. When closed, everything can be neatly tucked away, making it ideal for a living room, bedroom, hallway or home office.
The bureau is offered in clean, unrestored condition and retains its original character and patina. There are age-related marks, variations to the finish and signs of wear throughout, consistent with its age and use. Please see photographs for details.
The original key is missing. We can provide a suitable key which will allow the bureau to be opened, but it will not operate the lock.
A lovely original mid-century piece combining attractive design with very practical storage.

We love our new bureau. Emily was so helpful, sending us lots of photos before purchase and she kept us up to date with delivery. It was a seamless service. Highly recommended, will definitely use again. Thanks Emily.
Emily is one of the nicest most accommodating people I have ever dealt with. Emily sourced a perfect G Plan sideboard for us which we struggled to find elsewhere. The care and attention to detail is also very evident.
Absolutely delighted with my purchase. Emily was great to deal with and the whole process was very smooth. Can't recommend highly enough.
