Mcintosh 'Dunvegan' Sideboard

A beautifully designed and well-crafted teak ‘Dunvegan’ sideboard, designed by Tom Robertson and manufactured by A.H. McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, Scotland, circa 1960s.

This is a classic McIntosh piece, instantly recognisable by the elegant carved ‘fin’ handles, which give the sideboard its distinctive Scandinavian-influenced look. A timeless and highly sought-after design.

The layout is both practical and balanced, featuring a large central shelved cupboard, a drop-down drinks cabinet to the right with a slide-out serving tray, and three good-sized drawers to the left. 

The teak has developed a rich golden patina, highlighting the natural grain and warmth that only decades of age can bring. The sideboard is presented in original condition and has been carefully cleaned and lightly refreshed to preserve its authenticity.

As expected with a genuine vintage piece, there are minor age-related marks and light surface wear, including small scratches and polished-in marks, all consistent with its age and use. These details contribute to the character of the piece. 

A highly desirable example of Scottish mid-century design, ideal for adding warmth and character to any vintage or mid-century inspired interior.
